Our Story
Georgette Packaging was founded in 2014 by a former bakery-owner-mechanical-engineer-sustainability-consultant looking to address the challenges associated with marketing and packaging products in the bakery space. Driven to help businesses navigate and ease the challenge of sourcing packaging, Georgette has capitalized on its diverse industry experience to build an incredibly knowledgeable and caring team that knows the packaging world inside and out. As the packaging industry continues to grow, so does Georgette as demonstrated by our inclusion in the 2020 and 2021 Globe & Mail’s Top 500 Growing Businesses list.
In 2021, Georgette employee and passionate supporter of food entrepreneurs, Jennifer Appleby Vines became the new owner and CEO. Jennifer is an accomplished food entrepreneur herself with over 20 years of experience in food & hospitality. In 2025, Jennifer was nominated for the Woman of Influence and Entrepreneur of the Year award by Royal Bank of Canada for her human centred leadership style.

Jen leads a team of committed and compassionate people who show up every day excited to support food entrepreneurs across North America and beyond. The Georgette team understands, loves and appreciates the entrepreneurial journey, which allows us to connect, consult and work alongside all of our clients in the most like-minded manner.

Our focus is always on our clients! We work with some absolutely incredible brands including The Salty Donut, Krispy Rice, Donut Monster, Blackbird Baking and Onyx Coffee…and we would love to add you to that list!
The majority of global packaging is made for the food and beverage industry, which is why you’ll see a lot of focus on this industry across our pages, however it’s not all we do. We also work with health, beauty and wellness, e-commerce, and home goods companies, just to name a few. Our packaging intel doesn’t stop at the coffee shop door.
